Are you new to our guild?
Are you new to quilting?
Would you like to spend time in the company of other quilters?
Are you looking for answers to quilting questions?
Would you like to practice your piecing or quilting skills on charity quilts?
Would you like to help make charity quilts without buying all the supplies?
If you answered Yes to any of these questions then you're sure to enjoy participating in one or more of the Free Sew sessions listed here.
4th Monday, 10-3, Retsil Veterans Home — Anything you'd like to work on.
1st Monday, 10-2, Jackson Park Navy Chapel — American Hero Quilts
1st Tuesday, 1-5, Pacific Fabrics — American Hero Quilts
1st & 3rd Friday, 1-4, Material Girl — Quilts for the Local Red Cross
If you haven't been to one before, don't worry they're fun and easy. Just pack up your sewing supplies and show up at the appointed time and location.
Some have a specific purpose, like the Hero Quilts, while others are totally free form. Bring your own project to work on or spend time helping with a group quilt. Depending on the time of day, you might want to bring your lunch, too.
These FREE get-togethers are very relaxed, people come and go as they choose. Many of the participants are long-time quilters and long-time members of our guild. It's the perfect opportunity to ask questions, kick around ideas, get a little help with pesky problems, and just get better acquainted.
Drop in for a few minutes to say Hi, or stay for the whole time. It's all up to you. There's no fee, no sign-up, and no obligation.
** You'll find more details and contact information in the newsletter.
