West Sound Quilters donates dozens of Community Quilts each year to our community. Regular recipients include:

Veterans at the Retsil Veterans Home,
Graduating high school seniors in Washington's foster care system,
A nearby women's shelter,
The Red Cross
Soldiers touched by war
Puget Sound Kidney Center

You can join in these causes! Just bring your desire to help. Your ready-to-sew machine will also be welcomed!

Come Sew With Us!

Community Sew meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Port Orchard Eagles Aerie, 4001 Jackson Ave SE, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Come and help sort and cut fabric, make up block or quilt kits, sew blocks and quilts and make quilt sandwiches to be picked up for quilting. Bindings and labels are also added at these meetings.

A fun opportunity to meet new friends and visit with old friends while helping members of our community.

Snacks provided!

Quilt Dimensions for Donations

DSHS Graduation Quilts: 75-80" wide by 80-90" long
Georgia's House: Bunk Bed 65-70" wide by 80-90" long
Pillowcases: body 27", cuff 12", optional flange 2". Cotton fabric only, finished seams (Burrito style)
Kitsap Help Line gets variety sizes and extra pillowcases.
Retsil is taking chair bags, no quilts at this time
Puget Sound Kidney Center: lap size 40-45" wide by 45-60" long
